Earlier this year, Snapchat released a ChatGPT-powered AI Chatbot, named My AI to stay ahead of the curve amidst the AI frenzy in the market.

Yesterday, the company announced that they are launching yet another AI-powered software that will enable Snapchat users to generate AI-powered selfies.

They are calling this new feature Dreams, it will allow users to generate AI-powered selfies with the help of their Lenses.

The feature can be accessed through the Memories in the camera roll section of the application.

How Dream Works

To generate these selfies, a user will have to upload their regular selfies in Dreams and wait for the software to do its magic.

After selecting the theme for the selfies, Dreams will generate a set of AI selfies containing 8 pictures based on your chosen theme, of which there are plenty to choose from.

Snapchat is offering the first set of pictures for free but will charge $1 for every next set of selfies that one wishes to generate.

According to the company, Snapchat has always maintained a level of quirk while adding value to the user experience and they believe Dreams is no exception.

Given the fact that Snapchat users share Memories around 280 million times every day, this move will surely add quite a bit of value to the company as well.

When will Dream be Available to all Users?

Currently, Dreams is available for use only for the residents of Australia and New Zealand.

Snapchat has announced that it will be rolling out this feature for global users over the next few weeks with other AI-driven features arriving on the application eventually.
