Creators were all enthusiastic for Snap Partner Summit (SPS) 2023 to see what their favorite Social-media app Snapchat had to offer.
Indeed, the excitement didn’t go in vain when Snapchat revealed Creator friendly features and Programmes at the summit.
According to Snapchat, 90 percent of Gen-Z is already on Snap, and 86 percent of young Americans are eager to make content. Today, the app launched new programs which are helpful for “sustainable businesses” and tools to ” grow and engage with their audience across Stories and Spotlight.”
Here are the major programs that are going to benefit Snapchat Creators and make their experience smooth over the app.
Public Stories
Creators, for a long time now, have been requesting the app to enable them to share public stories so that their creativity can be seen by a wider audience. But the community wanted their Snapchat account to be a safe space with their real friends at the same time.
Considering the need, Snapchat now enables users aged 18 or older ” to post their own Public stories with a simple tap. Open the camera, create a Snap, and choose to share it with friends or add it to your Public Story, all from the same account. ” Snapchat posted on its newsroom.
It even introduced a scheduling feature with which creators can schedule their stories and post them “whenever, wherever.” Content-specific statistics and stories replies are active on the app too.
Monetization Programme
The constant motivation for a creator can be monetization, and Snapchat indeed found ways to give them that. With the introduction of the Story revenue share program, creators will be able to earn with advertisements placed within their stories.

- 25 million monthly Snap views,
- and post at least 10 Stories a month
“Creators can see more details on qualifying criteria and eligible countries on the Creator Hub.”
Another Spotlight reward program will be increasing the total rewards available to reward creators for making the top Spotlight Snaps to encourage emerging creators.
Expanding Creator content on the app
Users often see a creator and lose track of their content. But with new surfaces on Snapchat, like SnapMap, you can discover creators across stories and the spotlight.
“Creators helping our community discover the next “can’t miss” restaurant can expand their reach by simply tagging locations in their Spotlight Snaps. With place tags, their videos will appear on place profiles on the Snap Map, where more than 300 million Snapchatters go each month for great local recommendations.” mentioned Snapchat Newsroom.
More to Snapchat
Over the past year, Snapchat introduced many new features to create an ecosystem for creators respecting their needs and suggestions.
Recently, Snapchat expanded its music library and added local artists to the app to showcase their talent and content. Similarly, it enabled creators to add links to their profile- bio through Linktree.
This will help fans easily access their favorite creator’s content and enhance the quality of experience on the app. Even like Tiktok and Instagram, Snapchat introduced Snap-Remix so that users can react to stories and spotlights more creatively.
Room for spotlight replies was enhanced for creators to have better control over reactions on their spotlights.
From being a more camera and texting-oriented app, Snapchat is surely changing its dimension to being creator and content friendly. Snapchatters will now have better access to their favorite creators while creators got access to evolved programs to showcase their content to the world.
