Snapchat has announced a new integration with the popular link-in-bio tool Linktree, allowing users to showcase their work and other profiles on the platform.
This move comes as Snapchat expands its capabilities to include links in user profiles, a feature previously limited to brands and Snap Stars.
The partnership, initially announced in April, now enables anyone with a public profile to include their Linktree profile link.
How to use Linktree on Snapchat?
To add a Linktree (or any other) URL to their Snapchat profile, users can simply go to their public profile, click on edit, and select “Website or Linktree.”
This integration not only allows users to include other URLs but also offers enhanced visibility for Snapchat profiles on the Linktree service.
Furthermore, creators utilizing the link-in-bio tool will be able to display their Snapchat profile on their Linktree page, complete with a social icon and a button inviting visitors to “Add me on Snapchat” or any other customized message.
Along with this integration, Linktree offers three months of Linktree Pro, providing premium features such as email and phone number collection, embedding tweets and YouTube videos, and NFT lock.
Future Ramifications of Snapchat x Linktree
Snapchat has been expanding its offerings for creators, including revenue-sharing programs and the introduction of Public Stories, allowing users to share their Stories with a wider audience.
According to The Wall Street Journal, these initiatives have garnered attention from notable names like Adam Waheed.
Linktree, on the other hand, is continuously enhancing its link-in-bio tool for creators by adding more payment services and social media integrations.
Last year, the company collaborated with TikTok through the Profile Kit, and it introduced a “Buy me a Gift” option for creators in January.
Recently, Linktree acquired Bento, a link-in-bio company backed by Sequoia, though its specific plans for the product have not been disclosed.
